Waiting to hear

Boston called Friday and said they had to reschedule Lyla's appointments.  I knew I had bigger fish to fry with the insurance company so I didn't get to worked up about it.

Today, Boston called back to schedule Lyla at the end of October.  UGH!!!  So I asked to speak with Dr. Marx.  I left a message for him, asking if there is anything he can do so Lyla can come to Boston sooner.  I reminded him that he wanted to see her in two weeks - NOW IT'S 8 WEEKS!!!  I also mentioned that we bought a plane ticket for Rachel to come help Dave with the kids while we are in Buffalo.  YES, we are so BLESSED that Rachel is coming!!!!  THANK GOD!!!  Now, it would be great to see her of course as I miss her something terrible but it kind of defeats the purpose to have her here when Lyla and I are still here.  HA!!!

I am starting to question my self about pushing the limits.  Should I of just accepted that date at the end of October?  I am starting to get confused on what is God's Plan.  Am I fighting for HIS PLAN - or am I fighting against his HIS PLAN??????  I don't know!  After the insurance fight, I am just starting to get confused I guess.

Well, then I have these two beauties that make the confusion go BYE BYE!!!!!  How could I possibly focus on anything else :)


Lyla has taken swinging to a whole new level.  The Girl Likes to SWING!!!!!

Thank GOD - Insurance Approved!!!!

Absolutely Amazing Day!!! 

1) We found out about the grant!!!  

2) We had a wonderful visit with Sarah, Zoya, Mila and Sofia Basile 

3)  The insurance APPROVED Lyla going to BOSTON!!!!!!!

Yes, I received the call on the ride home from visiting with the Basile's.  When I got off the phone, I was crying of course and I yelled to Bean in the backseat

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!  I can't tell you how PROUD I am to be the Mom of that Incredible Girl!!!

So that's that!!!  Our sweet Princess Warrior, Ms. Lyla Spitz is going to BOSTON!!!!!!

I am so grateful to you for praying for this!!!  Just Forever Grateful to each of you!!!!  Please continue to Pray for Lyla's health.  Please Promise you will be with us in PRAYER the day of her surgery, if surgery is an option that is!!!  Lyla still needs you!!!!!!!  I need You :)

Miracle Travel Works!!!!!!

Oh My!!!  I am so so so so GRATEFUL, I can't even tell you!  I had applied for a grant a week ago to help with travel expenses for our trip to Boston.  Today, I received an e/m that we were APPROVED!!!!!  OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!  This will help us so much, I can't even tell you!!!!  THANK GOD!!!!!  I want to KISS everyone on the awards committee at Miracle Travel Works!!!!  OH MY!!!!!  Okay, maybe a kiss is inappropriate but I definitely want to give the biggest hugest hugs to each an everyone of them!!!!!!!!!!  WOO HOO!!!!!!

Praying for Insurance to approve

If you would, please send up a prayer that Lyla's insurance will approve her trip to Boston.  I believe we will hear from them today!!!  OH BOY!!!  I am so so so so nervous to answer the phone!!!!

A few blog followers have asked for an update on Taylor & Kostya!  Thank you!!!  Taylor will be writing up an update soon for you!!!

Lyla Has A Date!!!!!!

Yes!!!!!  Lyla's first appointment is October 16th in BOSTON!!!  A few days of testing and consults and surgery is tentatively scheduled for October 22nd!!!!  OH MY!!!!!!  The Warrior Princess might just be able to have her sweet beautiful heart finally fixed!!!  I can't stop crying!!!  THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so so so so so MUCH FOR THE PRAYERS!!!!!!!!!!  Keep Praying for the insurance to approve Please!!!  They denied the first request and now we are in the appeal process!!!  GOD has this, I just know it!!!!!!!!!!!  

Ten More Weeks

Just 10 More Weeks and Baby Evelyn Sage will be here!!!!!!  I am so excited for Taylor & Kostya!!!  Okay, I'm pretty excited for me too :)

Prayer Requests Please!!!!

Lyla will be going to Boston (with me) in 2 to 3 weeks.  OH MY!!!!  We will have a date tomorrow or Wednesday.  THANK GOD!!!!!!

Please Pray that Lyla will stay healthy!!!  It is so so so so so so crucial that she is healthy enough to have another cardiac cathertization and then for open heart surgery if she is a candidate.  With the Owen, Belle, Gavin and Sara just starting school  I am a nervous wreck about sickness.  Thank you so much!!!!!!!!

Please if you will also Pray that Lyla's insurance will approve a prior authorization to go to Boston.  They believe we should be able to find a surgeon that is willing to do the surgery she needs here in New York State.  They do not want to pay an out of state Doctor or Hospital is really the bottom line.  Now, I have questioned a million times why we just didn't go to Boston in the beginning.  Well I think now I have my answer.  Since we can prove that Lyla has been to a provider in network and that provider could not help her,  this might be what allows the insurance to approve Boston!!!!!  PLEASE GOD!!!!!!  I can't even start to wonder the ruckus I would cause if the insurance says "NO"!!!  Really, I can't!!!  That Mama Bear issue I have will be in FULL FORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much!!!  Your PRAYERS brought this beautiful girl home to us!!!!  Your Prayers have kept her healthy!!!!  Your PRAYERS have brought Boston to the table!!!!!  Your PRAYERS are NEEDED hopefully just a little longer!!!!!!  Thank you with every ounce of my heart and soul!!!!!!!

Gotcha Lyla - 1 Year Later!!!!!!!

For TWO YEARS I dreamed of bringing Lyla outside those orphanage gates!!!  Even 1 year later I still can't believe my Dreams Came True on September 6, 2012!!!!  Lyla was FREE!!!!!  I want to thank each and everyone of you that helped make this dream a reality!!!  I look back and I am absolutely overwhelmed with the support we received!!!  Thank YOU Forever!!!!!!!

First Day Of School 2013

Belle, Gav and Sara woke up KINDERGARTEN students TODAY!!!  Woo Hoo!!!!

Owen is a 1st grader!!!  OH MY!!!!

Lyla is a stay at home Princess!!!  Ha!!  Well until we return from Boston anyways.  I have not heard from the scheduling people at Boston yet so I will be calling them tomorrow.
