Lyla's Cardiology Appointment

You guys are AMAZING - you know that?  We are so BLESSED to have so many people ask how Lyla's appointment went!!!  Thank you so much!!!  Sorry it has taken me so long to post!!!  Time is hard to find these days - I can't figure out why????

Lyla's appointment went GREAT!!!  Dr. Leonard said "she looks so much better" and "I see she has gained some weight - very good"!!!  This visit was so much more positive then the one 5 weeks ago - THANK GOD!!!!

Dr. Leonard explained what they will do with Lyla during her catheterization.  She will have 3 cath's in 1 (well, that's how he explained it).  The second cath will be done on 100% oxygen and the third will be done on nitric oxide.  Many of you probably know a lot more about this then I do.  This will determine if she will be a candidate for surgery, that's what I do know.  Dr.Leonard, a pediatric cardiac surgeon and a pediatric anesthesiologist will all be in the cath lab during the procedure.  Lyla will be in GREAT HANDS!!!!

We should know by the end of the week the date for her procedure.  I am so very anxious to have the results.  Before this cardiology appointment I kept thinking "Oh we can wait - she is doing so good".  Well now, I am so ready for the next step!!

In the meantime, we will CHERISH and ENJOY every moment with this very Amazing Little Girl!!!!

Lyla is starting to CRAWL!!!!  GO LYLA!!!!!

Lyla had her well child check today with Dr. Przygozdki!!!  Big Sister Sara was such a big help!!!  Lyla has a cardiology appointment this coming Monday.  Please Pray that they will schedule her cardiac cath as soon as possible!!  Thank You!!!

Lyla is able to sit all by herself!!!  OH MY!!!!  We are so proud of this girl!!!

My camera broke last weekend so some of these pictures were taken with my phone.   This is why the quality is so poor but the model still shines!!!

Gavin is still just a cute as ever, even with yogurt all over his face!!!

Bellie Bug is using a sippy cup NOW!!!!  WOO HOO!!!!!  No More Bottle For This Bug!!!!  YAY!!!!!

We found a stray kitty.  Poor sweet thing was infested with fleas.  Dave said I should give it a flea bath.  How hard could it be ????  OH BOY - I know now that I will never EVER give a cat a bath again.  It was WAR in that bathroom and I am pretty sure that 12 oz kitty WON!!!  Well except now she is FLEA FREE!!!   She is now living with my Mom and her name is Rory!!  I am happy to report that the bath episode didn't do any permanent damage to me or the cat!!!

Owen lost his first tooth!!!  He was so excited!!!  He put his tooth under his pillow for the tooth fairy to find while he was sleeping.  That awesome fairy left Owen $1!!!  So now he wants to buy gum!!!  Not sure if she would be too happy about that but........

Conor was invited to play in an all star soccer game in November.  He wants desperately to attend Colgate University in the fall!!  The Soccer Coach from Colgate is going to try and attend the all star game to watch Conor play!!!  WOW!!!!!!  

Taylor is working full time at Chautauqua Opportunities as a receptionist.  She LOVES her new job and is so looking forward to Kostya coming to visit in December!!!!  We are actually all looking forward to his visit!!!!  I Love that Boy!!!!

Nicholas has a concussion from playing soccer so he is unable to play for the rest of the season.   He is enjoying his first year in the high school!!!!

This picture was from Nick's 8th grade moving up ceremony.  This is Taylor, Conor and Nick's Dad Michael.  We are a very BLESSED family where everyone gets along beautifully because we all know that it is in the BEST INTEREST of the children to do so!!  As a matter of fact we have even vacationed together. Michael and his soon to be wife Sarah (who I LOVE), Dave, Taylor, Conor, Nick, Owen, Sara and myself.  They can be found at most of the birthday parties we have at this house too!!  Sarah & Michael even took Sara and Owen for an overnight stay while we were in Ukraine.  SG and Owen had such a FUN time they didn't want to leave their house!!!  HOW AWESOME IS THAT??????  They are the BEST!!!

Dave is wrapped around the finger of yet another little girl!!!  He comes home every day for lunch and spends most of it loving on his little ones.  He is pretty much the BEST DADDY EVER!!!!!


And me???  Well I am enjoying every moment of this amazing life that God has granted me!!!!

We had a wonderful visit with Owen's Birth Mom today.  

I remember the day Tiffany called me and asked if we would adopt Owen.

  I remember it like it was 5 minutes ago.  

She told me that she would have her rights terminated if we would agree to adopt him. 

Owen had been with us in foster care for 17 months at that time.  

She told me how much she loved him!!!!

She also told me that she realized she was not capable of caring for him they way he deserved.  

She wanted him to have a better life then what she thought she could offer!!!

Can you imagine the strength it took for her to make that decision?  

The incredible strength to make that call?  

Only thinking of HER SON!!!

Dora & Sweet Repeats!!!

We Love Sweat Repeats!!!  Sweet Repeats is a Super Awesome Consignment store in Jamestown.  We are FREQUENT customers!!!  If consignment didn't exist we would all be naked - that is a FACT!!!  Not a
pleasant Fact I know!!!  Sorry but it's true!!!

We were able to meet Dora The Explorer at Sweet Repeats this past Saturday and have our picture taken with her!!!  It was a Pretty Big Deal for some of the toddlers at this house!!!

Columbus Day

I do not mean to be disrespectful to Christopher Columbus in any way BUT the truth is, when I realized Columbus day was approaching, I immediately thought "Oh No, Everyone is HOME"!!!  I knew I could handle it but would I be able to keep everyone busy and happy???  That was the question.  So Plan A was to gather up the toddlers for a photo shoot.  A photo shoot is always a good activity.   They are confined to a small area and they enjoy the entertainment.  The entertainment consists of their Mother jumping around like a lunatic in attempt for smiles.  They Love it!!!  Well, I think they Love it!  Out of 300 plus pictures only 2 toddlers could be found smiling at the same time.   WHERE DID I GO WRONG???  Maybe I need to resort to costumes????  Props?????

So Plan A was Successful I would say!!!

The only issue with Plan A was it only utilized about 15 minutes!!!
