Belle's fabulous and amazing teacher sent home her communication book!!!
I put 8 photo cards on her tray of food items.
Belle chose goldfish and applesauce and handed me the cards.
I put the cards on her book.
I placed both items on her tray and she started eating!!!!!
BELLE TOLD ME WHAT SHE WANTED TO EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Recently meal times have been frustrating for Belle. We offer her several different food choices and when we offer her something she doesn't want she would get very upset. :(

ReplyDeleteWe use Picture Exchange cards too and it really started the ball rolling for our son to communicate. He's five now and still doesn't speak or sign, but because of the cards we have a few words that he "knows" with them and it has helped so so much! Good luck!!!
