Please Pray

Well we have had almost 24 hours to process some of the things we were told at our appointment in regards to Lyla's health.  We were told our sweet princess is a Miracle.  That they have no idea how she is alive today.  According to the DAP she only has 2 chambers in her heart.  Now, since she will be 3 in November this is just almost impossible that this could be true.  So we will wait until we have her medical report from the orphanage, have it translated and shown to an American specialist.  Sarah Basile is working very hard at finding us a good contact at Boston Children's Hospital.  We also received a picture of our beautiful girl.  This picture is a little scary but it is important to remember that the picture I took of her in January was 6 months after this one and she looked so much healthier.

I really think it was no coincidence that the only shirt I had to wear to our DAP appointment was my BOSS YOUR HEART SHIRT, In memory of beautiful Princess Chrissie.  Please take a look:

Today we will have some documents notarized and pick up our referral between 4 and 5 this evening.  Then we will travel to the region of our sweet girl.  We will be holding, kissing and loving our girl TOMORROW!!!!  GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!

Successful DAP and Tay & Kostya

We made it but my luggage didn't

We made it safely to our destination -unfortunately my luggage hasn't yet :( Really things were just going to good! Flights were awesome. Layovers were short with no issues. Our connecting flights were easy to find. Customs was a breeze. And then it happened. Standing at the baggage claim starring at the empty belt praying that your luggage will just appear but it doesn't. You are even hopeful that the suitcase that is now in a huge white garbage bag because all the items have exploded out might be yours. But it's not. So you ask ask an employee of the airport what to do. You are told to stand in "THAT line" Oh no - you realize instantly "that line" doesn't look like much fun. So you wait in line for about an hour knowing that your driver is somewhere on the other side of the big doors wondering where you are. You might just start to panic a little at this point. But thankfully you contact some facebook people to try and get a hold of the driver to tell him the situation. Since your phone doesn't work here and you don't want him to think you didn't make the flight. So you fill out the necessary paperwork and you leave the airport with out your luggage praying you soon will be reunited. If you would - please send up a Prayer that our luggage will be found - I would appreciate it so vey much! Oh and if you wouldn't mind praying that the adoption officials at our appointment are understanding of my outfit that would be so great too! Thank you so much!!! God willing I will be reunited with one daughter tomorrow and the other on Wednesday!! No way a lost bag can take the incredible joy of that away!!!! God is so Good!!!!

One more flight and we will be in Lyla's country!!!! We are so EXCITED!!!! We will see Tay & Kostya tomorrow - woo hoo!!!!! We miss our sweet children that we left in jamestown but we are so BLESSED to know they are in the most capable hands - I will be posting soon who is at home with them as it is an amazing story!!! Thank you all so much for the never ending support - we are Beyond Blessed!!!

Let Me Start With A Big "Sorry"

I have not been able to find a moment to update our blog - I apologize.  We have just been so crazy busy!  I mean BUSY BUSY!!!  You know that kind of busy, right???

Last week we went to the Reece's Rainbow reunion in Washington DC!  What a BLAST!!!  Oh My!!!!!  Here are some pictures of those Very Amazing two days!!!

 Then you have the Amazing Sarah B. - This Girl is an Absolute GOD SEND!!!!  I Love her to pieces!!!!!  She would just pick up a little and go with the flow.  She even had Belle the whole time during our Reece's Rainbow reunion dinner.  THE WHOLE TIME!!!  Belle just LOVES HER and So Do I!!!!!

 This one just kills me honestly.  Andrea Roberts - The founder and Director of Reece's Rainbow.  The lady that made it possible for that handsome hunk of love to be my son.  So when she holds Gav or Belle I am a moosh festival.  Andrea Loves these kids so very much!!!!  It is something very special to witness for sure!!!

 Then you have Incredible Molly C.!!!  I can't say enough Wonderful things about this gal!!!  That is a FACT!!!  She is one of the biggest orphan advocates I know!!!  She will never give up screaming for those that don't have a voice.  She is so so so Awesome with kids and I just appreciate everything about her!!!   Oh and Sara Grace claims to be her daughter!!!  Can't argue - I would want to be her daughter too SG!!!

 This picture above is just so Awesome!!!  Belle has never EVER responded to a new person the way she did with this little girl.  This beautiful blonde haired girl also sporting an extra chromosome came right over to Belle to love her up.  BELLE LOVED IT!!!  Belle was all giggles and smiles!!!  I have the chills now just remembering that very sweet moment!!!!  GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!

 I Love My Boy!!!

 Here we have Spunky Sweet Charlotte!!  Oh she is a hoot!!!  How about Sara Grace sitting on her lap???  Oh My!!!  I am so Grateful that I was able to meet C's Momma, Kelly!!!  Kelly and I have been online friends for a long time so hugging her was a very Beautiful moment!!!!

Oh Lizzie - I adore this young lady!!!!!  She is another young lady that jumps in and does what ever she can to help.  She is the beautiful daughter of Tom and Patty Lococo!!  Lizzie is so sweet and just always a pure joy to be in the company of!!!

 Another Lococo!!!  This is Josh!!!  Look at him with Belle - Oh My!!!  This handsome young man sure has a heart of GOLD!!!!  The Lococo family has 4 more children that sadly I don't have a picture of :(  !!!  Sweet Julia who was also adopted from Ukraine and rocks an extra chromosome in a true princess fashion.  Sweet Gabby who Sara Grace Misses so MUCH!!!   Caleb is the oldest of the bunch and a natural AMAZING photographer.  He is also a huge orphan advocate and a young adult with a very Bright Future!!! And the beautiful Addisu who honestly can knock you off your seat with his smile!!!

 Awe!!!!  Three of the Loves in my life!!!!  I sure am BLESSED!!!!

 Not a fan when Dave throws a toddler in the air but Gav LOVES it so MUCH!!!!  Obviously!!!

Conor and Aaron made fast friends!!!  Aaron is such a strong beautiful boy!!!  It was an absolute honor to meet him and his super teeny tiny but very POWERFUL Mom!!!!  Julia has been an Amazing support to us and we will always be grateful!!!!  Love you Mrs. Nalle!!!!

I want to Thank Molly and Caleb for taking such fantastic pictures!!!  These photos SCREAM that we all just had a Spectacular Time!!!!  And we sure did!!!!

Oh My!!!  My Four little Starfish!!!  You know the starfish story right??

A young boy was walking along a beach upon which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a terrible storm. When he came to each starfish, he would pick it up, and throw it back into the ocean. People watched him with amusement.

He had been doing this for some time when a man approached him and said, “Little boy, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!”

The boy seemed crushed, suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, he bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled it as far as he could into the ocean. Then he looked up at the man and replied,

“Well, I made a difference to that one!”

I remember the day I went to the newborn nursery at WCA Hospital to pick her up.
