Please Pray

Well we have had almost 24 hours to process some of the things we were told at our appointment in regards to Lyla's health.  We were told our sweet princess is a Miracle.  That they have no idea how she is alive today.  According to the DAP she only has 2 chambers in her heart.  Now, since she will be 3 in November this is just almost impossible that this could be true.  So we will wait until we have her medical report from the orphanage, have it translated and shown to an American specialist.  Sarah Basile is working very hard at finding us a good contact at Boston Children's Hospital.  We also received a picture of our beautiful girl.  This picture is a little scary but it is important to remember that the picture I took of her in January was 6 months after this one and she looked so much healthier.

I really think it was no coincidence that the only shirt I had to wear to our DAP appointment was my BOSS YOUR HEART SHIRT, In memory of beautiful Princess Chrissie.  Please take a look:

Today we will have some documents notarized and pick up our referral between 4 and 5 this evening.  Then we will travel to the region of our sweet girl.  We will be holding, kissing and loving our girl TOMORROW!!!!  GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!

Please keep Lyla in your prayers!!!!!!!!  Thank you so much!!!!!!!!

  1. Beautiful Lyla has held on this long because she is one strong little girl and God wanted her to be with your awesome family!! God will continue to watch over her and keep her strong until you get her home and she gets her surgery. Then you can take her home and give her the love of a family this little princess deserves. Stay strong Summer and Dave God is watching over all of you and I will keep praying for Lyla! I cant wait to see pictures of you newest princess!!

  3. I simply cannot believe the details God worked out to have the Boss Your Heart shirt as your ONLY shirt available to wear to your appointment. CRAZY how fitting that is, and so honored to be represented at your appointment to rescue this precious little heart lovie. I think I told you that we considered adopting Lyla when the adoption of our host boys fell through, but our dossier was submitted on a day for children age 6+, so we weren't eligible to adopt her. God knew she was yours, and His hand in every detail, right down to the shirt you'd wear to your appointment, is downright mind boggling. I just love how our God works, and I'm honored to pray for Lyla and your family!!!

  4. Praying for your sweet girl. I was trying to help Sarah; as my little girl may have the same heart defect as Lyla may have. I have some names of several moms who have taken there children to Boston and they would all be willing to talk to you. BUT, I know for now the most important thing is for you all to get some good advice from the doctors. I am praying for your family.

  5. Can you please give an extra hug for this little beauty from Sandra and Daugirdas - we love her and we pray for her! We were waiting for this moment - of someone to adopt Lyla - for so long. Now the miracle unfolds. She is an inspiration!

  7. Be still my heart! I've been doing a lot of praying and thinking, I know that there is a reason this little girl is still alive. God has a reason. I'm going to trust in that. I also know that whatever you need that this wonderful community of adopters and supporters will be there for you. Ready to listen at any time, ready to hear you vent any time, ready to want to hug you more than you will ever know.

  8. Many many prayers coming your way. I am from RI and my son Danny had his heart surgery at Boston Childrens. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. If you end up in Boston, we are less than an hour (maybe 45 or so miles). You can stay with us (I can also help you with the logistics of being in Boston), I can drive you around..help you in any way I can. We are FB friends..and I believe my email will come up on this comment as well. I know we haven't met in person...but I'm sure we have both met at least someone in common :). I've been following Lyla since the beginning...so I know all about your miracle girl. I'll keep checking the blog for updates and if I can help in anyway, please let me know.

  9. Summer, God kept your girl safe and alive . He was holding her for you. I believe that, and no one will ever ever convince me otherwise. She is waiting for you and her Daddy. Praying that when you see her again all of your fears will be laid to rest, and He will give you peace so that you can love her and finally give her what she needs to grow and thrive. Hold on to Jesus Mama!!
