Ba, Ba, Ba, Honesty, Dance and a GRAND FINISH

Lyla is "Ba Ba Ba Ba" ing up a storm!!!  Take a look:

In addition to her mastering "ba ba ba" she makes a point to always be honest.  Here is the proof:

Belle & Gav went to a dance class last night.  Thank you Sarah Basile for the referral!!!  The group of people working at VIBE dance Studio are the BEST of the BEST!!!!  So Amazing!!!  Belle just loved it!!!  I cried watching her because I was just so proud that she has this opportunity to shine!!!  GO BUG!!!!!  Gav on the other hand did not enjoy the class.  He did decide to sit up after laying down for a good portion.  Poor Gav!!!  I had a brain storm on the ride home from dance regarding Gav.  It only took me a year to figure out some things.  I will share that in another post.  Still trying to gather all my thoughts!!!  Here is some pictures of my two dance class attenders.  Why didn't I take a video????  Oh well!!!  Live and Learn!!!

Today Owen and Sara ran a 1K.  I am so proud to announce they both crossed the finish line.

Owen's finish was about 6 minutes after his group had already finished.  A group of kids the same age.  I had called Dave at work prior to Owen taking off and asked him to meet O half way - just in case.  Owen started off with such excitement.  Oh he was on fire!!!  Probably about 30 feet out of the gate he put his arms in the air behind him in his favorite super hero running position.  It was ON!!!!  Then about 20 feet more and he started to walk.  Shaking his sweet head in realization this run was tougher than he had thought.  So I called Dave and said "you might want to meet him a littler sooner".  Of course Dave ran to meet O.  He ran with him the whole way.  Encouraging him every step of the way.  My sweet boy!!!  Then I could see him about a block away.  Walking, Red Faced, Sweating profusely but moving those arms like no body's business to keep the momentum going.  As they got closer, I realized all the people cheering for my beautiful boy.  A crowd of PROUD PROUD Fans!!!  Fans that didn't walk away because they thought the race was over 5 minutes prior.  Oh No!!!  They stayed and they cheered that last runner on as if he was about to win an Olympic medal (Well that's so how it felt anyways)!!!  Then I noticed Dave.  Oh My!!!  He was an emotional mess.  He was clearly shocked that so many people would cheer on his son, his son that he LOVES to end of the earth, his son that nobody cared what place he was finishing just so PROUD that he would finish.  I tell you, it was something!!!!!

Listen, I am not sure for a second how in the world I am so BLESSED to witness the most AMAZING things this life has to offer but I am not about to trade with anyone that is for SURE!!!!!

BOSTON CALLED!!!!!!!!!!

Oh My!!!!!  BOSTON CALLED!!!!!!!!!

I spoke with Dr. Marx!!!  He was so nice to talk to you!!!  I felt so comfortable right away!!!!

He told me that he can't promise that Lyla will have heart surgery in Boston but he would like to see her soon.  THANK GOD!!!!  He will schedule her to also see a Pulmonary Hypertension specialist.  Lyla will have a series of tests that will take 3 days.  Poor Sweet Girl!!!  But she is so tough!!!  Dr. Marx did tell me that if her cath results are anything like they were in May, surgery is not an option!!!  BUT and a very BEAUTIFUL "BUT", he has two other possible procedures that might help her pulmonary hypertension.  So maybe one of these procedures would allow her lung pressures to get where they need to be so surgery might be possible in a year.  Oh Yes!!!  Options and Chances are sooooooooooooo GOOD TO HEAR!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for keeping Lyla in your prayers!!!  Every PRAYER is obviously being heard because Lyla has been given YET ANOTHER CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Updates - Updates - Updates

So Many Updates to share!!!!

A beautiful weekend in July we drove to Ohio to see some pretty Amazing Friends!!!   Go HERE and check out the FUN!!!!!  We had a wonderful time visiting with the Birschbach family!!!  We wanted them to know just how Excited we are that they are adopting, so we all wore our adoptions shirts from a fundraiser they had to bring GRACE Home!!!  They are so close to bringing her home - Check it out HERE!!!!

July 22, Sara Grace had a Birthday!!  SHE IS FIVE!!!  That meant we had 4 five year old's in the family!!

Another very special person in our life had a Birthday that day too!!!  UNCLE MIKE!!!!!

 Uncle Mike helped bring those two precious girls HOME!!!!  He sure is something SPECIAL!!!!

Some More Big Big Big news is that Taylor & Kostya are EXPECTING!!!!  A Little Girl!!!!!  OH MY GOODNESS!!!!  Evelyn Sage is due to enter the world in November so I will be traveling to Ukraine in December to meet my first grandchild.  Another baby in Ukraine!!!  Can you believe it????

Conor leaves for college this Friday!!!  UGH!!!  I really thought it would be a piece of cake.  I was WRONG!!!  AGAIN!!!  I am freaking out!!!!  He will only be 2 hours away at Medaille College but I am flat out going to miss him.

I know a little girl that is going to miss her big brother something awful.  Sweet Belle!!!!

Four of the Fab Five had dentist appointments and I am so happy to report that they have been brushing good because NO CAVITIES!!!!!  They were all pretty excited about the good news!!!!

August 9th Owen had a Birthday!!  He is now Six!!!  WHOA!!!  Really, just where in the world does the time go?????  WHERE?????  SIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh My Goodness!!!!!

Ms. Lyla has been taking steps!!  Beautiful Steps!!!  We are pretty sure Uncle Mike had something to do with it all but we haven't been able to get a straight answer from him!!!

We have not heard from Boston yet.  We are still waiting and still PRAYING!!!!  Lyla is doing so great though.  She is absolutely an INSPIRATION!!!!!

I don't have any updates for Nick, Belle or Gavin except to say they are all doing great!!!!!!!

One Year Ago

One Year Ago!!!  On this Very Day!!!!  Dave, Taylor and Kostya met Lyla for the first time.  I had the incredible BLESSING of meeting her 7 months prior while adopting Gavin.  But on this day, last year, I was able to tell her something I had been DYING to tell her for over 2 years!!!!  Two years of crazy emotion wondering if it was really meant to be!!!  Two years of PRAYING that one day I would be able to tell her:

"I AM YOUR MOM"
